The Owls have scored 23 or more points in the past three games, including a 32-point showing against Navy in the most recent home game on November 4. While the Owls have managed a 3-8 SU record, Temple isn’t throwing in the towel. This Memphis D has cloughed up 38 or more points in four in a row, and 31 of more points in seven of the past eight games.
However, the Tigers cannot stop anybody on defense. At first, I considered the spread here, as the Owls have been terrible most of the season. This Tigers team can throw up some points, going for 34 or more points in five consecutive outings, cashing the over in five straight, and eight of the past nine outings overall. The Tigers of Memphis were on the short end of a 38-34 loss against SMU as the Simmons Bank Liberty Bowl last Saturday, but it was able to cover a 9.5-point spread as an underdog.
